Oneiromancy

Here is a series of images from a piece that we are currently working on as part of the Cultural Strangers project. It explores how our initial feelings of isolation, disorientation, confusion, and ignorance transformed into a gradual awareness, understanding, confidence and connectivity with this strange yet hauntingly beautiful region of Kapadokya.

The experience has been akin to awakening from a dream, which is why this work is titled Oneiromancy. Also sleeping in a cave makes for bizarre and vivid dreams, which has influenced our understanding of this strange and amazing place.
