Broaden your Horizons
I recently found this image on Facebook and wanted to share. Many years ago, I found this same quote from the Dalai Lama and I wrote it on a small piece of paper and placed it inside a little metal tin with all my hopes and dreams. The quote says “Once a year, go someplace you have never been before”, and it has been my challenge for about 10 years.
Go someplace you have never been before.
The places do not need to be distant or exotic, though I do love to experience completely different landscapes and cultures like Turkey, Croatia and Algeria. Sometimes the new place has been a country town not far from home, like our adventure to Gunning a few weeks ago. It does not matter, it could even be a new market, cafe or park – as long as it is a place you have not experienced before. So my advice is to get out there and see new landscapes near and far, and have an adventure 🙂
